IBM employees recently came together for a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, assembling 320 menstrual hygiene kits that will be donated to LoveYourself in support of the “PERIOD!” campaign led by FRUITY. The activity reflects IBM’s continued commitment to advancing health equity, inclusion, and gender-responsive programs through employee-led volunteerism.
The donation supports FRUITY, the youth arm of LoveYourself, which empowers young Filipinos to lead advocacy efforts on key issues such as menstrual health, mental health, and social inclusion. Through its “PERIOD!” campaign, FRUITY works to advance menstrual equity, challenge stigma, and help address period poverty in communities across the Philippines.

The initiative was organized by the IBMHer ASEAN Business Resource Group in partnership with IBM Philippines CSR, bringing employees together in a shared effort to address menstrual health needs in underserved communities. By preparing essential hygiene kits, volunteers contributed directly to efforts that promote dignity, access, and awareness around menstrual health.
The collaboration highlights the impact of partnerships between the private sector and youth-led advocacy groups in driving inclusive health education and community support initiatives, strengthening efforts to ensure that menstrual health is recognized as a vital component of overall well-being.
