Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold joins LoveYourself in its multiple advocacies as an official ambassador. Hannah will be among the several beauty queens who have lent her voice to promote the values of daring to be one’s self, caring for one’s self and others, and sharing one’s self as a means to multiply joy.
We are honored to welcome Hannah Arnold into our growing community advocates. Truly, when we come together our ripples of positive change can affect people on a national level. Said Vinn Pagktakhan, LoveYourself Executive Director.
Aside from being the Philippines’ representative for the upcoming Miss International pageant, Hannah is a forensic science graduate who advocates for quality education, especially in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. She has also been tapped by the Department of Science and Technology as an ambassador.
As a forward thinking queen, Hannah recognizes the value of social media in changing conversations especially in passionate topics. Especially during the pandemic, social media’s influence in creating change has never been stronger. With the wealth of information available, it can be overwhelming to decipher what it all means. As Hannah joins LoveYourself, we hope to be able to make data on HIV, mental health, and trans health more accessible and understandable for social media.
On Twitter, we are limited to a few characters, and what I have seen in these Tweets is powerful. – Hannah Arnold
Being a LoveYourself Ambassador, Hannah is now among the roster of Philippine beauty queen titleholders including Miss Universe 2015 and 2018 Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Habijan, Miss Grand International 2020 First Runner Up Samantha Bernardo, and Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados
LoveYourself is a community of volunteers who advocate the provision and promotion of sexual, mental, and trans health services central to one’s self worth. With several community centers around the Philippines, its hubs provide HIV testing, treatment, and prevention, peer-led support groups, and gender affirming hormone therapy.
