Leading HIV Advocacy Group offering Free HIV Test
More than four years after winning Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach has remained committed to her causes, especially on HIV awareness campaign as she headlines “Love Gala 2019: Courage Amplified” – an event powered by the LoveYourself, Inc.
In collaboration with Inspi, this T-shirt for a cause campaign is made available anywhere in the Philippines through online via Shopee. There are two distinct designs: The LoveYourself Black Shirt and The Love.Fight.Cure. Red Flip Shirt.
A batch of 18 aspiring volunteers went through ‘HIV Counselor Training’ with the help of our Manila representatives: Kahel Sta. Maria and Danvic Rosadiño, together with LoveYourself’s pioneer Cebu-based counselors. The trainers proudly produced competent counselors and fire up their burning passion for volunteerism.
Now more than ever, we need to be brave in expressing our love. Staunchly proving this is Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who headlines the Love Gala 2019: Courage Amplified.
In this month of love, what can signify as the true essence of love is a relationship that is caring and accepting regardless of HIV status.
On October 6, 2018, 50 promising individuals completed Batch Meraki, LoveYourself’s 21st batch of volunteers. Held at the People’s Hall of SM Aura Premier, the orientation, led by HIV Counselor Bryan Galvez, welcomed the new volunteers as they embark on a new role as advocates of HIV and AIDS awareness.
LoveYourself in 2019 has been ever present on almost all media platforms, name it – social media, radio, television, out-of-home and even podcasts. The dedication of the volunteers to spread awareness on our shared causes is truly remarkable. When it comes to the HIV advocacy, it takes creativity and ingenuity to break away from the social stigma surrounding sex and its related topics. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Miss Universe-Philippines 2018 Catriona Elisa Gray join leading HIV advocacy group – LoveYourself, Inc. – in eradicating the epidemic with Hacking HIV 2.0 media event on 17 November (Saturday) at the PETA Theater.
HIV advocate and educator Ronivin “Vinn” Pagtakhan, and political analyst and academician Richard Javad Heydarian are joining eight other young active global citizens as honorees of the 2018 JCI TOYP. Other honorees came from Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Romania, Syria, Turkey and United Kingdom.
When Catriona Gray landed in the top 5 and bagged the Beauty with a Purpose award in Miss World 2016, she was recognized for her passionate work in Paraiso Bright Beginnings Project. Since then she has gone on to not only win the Miss Universe-Philippines crown to represent the country later in December, but has also added the HIV advocacy as one of her top passion projects.
